“SAFE NIGHT MILWAUKEE”
Friday June 12, 2026
6:00pm(CST) to 10:00pm(CST)
Safe Night Milwaukee is a program partner of the non-profit program, Fellowship Open Milwaukee. Safe Night Milwaukee is a positive response to teen violence in the city of Milwaukee. Its goal is to involve 200 teenagers in safe environments.
There will be 100 youth at each of the 2 pre-selected locations throughout Milwaukee. These 200 Milwaukee teenage students ages 13-17 will come together (under adult professional Mediator supervision) in a peaceful, secure, safe environment and participate together in positive peer mediation and conflict resolution sessions. The youth themselves will discuss their problems and find probable positive solutions and develop role plays surrounding their existing problems. Safe Night Milwaukee will occur on the last week of school on the night of Friday June 12, 2026. Friday Nights in general have proven to be one of the most dangerous nights of the week.
This event and its activities will be broadcast on a major television broadcasting network NBC. The same will air on multi-media platforms such as YouTube, X (formally Twitter) and Facebook. This will enable thousands of youth, adults & families to view and learn from this phenomenal community youth and adult event. Safe Night was originally launched in Milwaukee in 1998 however it originated in Harlem, New York. Safe Night Milwaukee is a program that provides positive alternatives to violence. Our main goal is to expose these teens to positive solutions to managing anger and negative thinking by having them experience a night without violence & exposure to criminal activities.
Safe Night would involve; a major multi-media network(s), Milwaukee law enforcement, professional security, parents, community volunteers, community agencies staff, City Officials, County Officials, State Officials and our neighborhood teens all coming together to participate in these positive anti-violence activities. This will consist of, a pizza party, conflict resolution sessions, positive roll-plays ending with a 1 hour teen Safe Night dance. The overall multi-purpose of what we are proposing for Safe Night Milwaukee 2026, is to aide in revitalizing the need for communities to work together not only to offer positive activities for a one night but, to promote safe anti-violence events involving our youth, parents, community agencies and law enforcement on an on-going every week night basis.
Under the guidance of professional mediators, youth will:
Participate in peer-led conflict resolution and positive role-plays
Learn strategies for managing anger and avoiding violence
Share perspectives and develop solutions to real-life issues
Celebrate with a supervised Safe Night teen dance
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
200 teens engaged in structured conflict resolution sessions (100 per site)

CONCLUSION
Safe Night Milwaukee 2026 is a bold, collaborative response to youth violence. It builds on decades of proven success, engages teens directly in problem-solving, and showcases Milwaukee youth as leaders in creating solutions. With community partners, law enforcement, media, and funders united, this initiative will not only create one safe night, but inspire ongoing safe nights across the city.
